HIV ADVOCACY NETWORK

The ERC HIV Advocacy Network (eHAN) is an alliance of organizations, serving people living with HIV and AIDS. eHAN works at state and local levels, uniting members to forge a stronger advocacy movement by implementing innovative strategies, developing effective advocacy activities, facilitating the coordination of resources, and sharing best practices.

eHAN Goal: To establish an effective and sustainable collaborative of HIV activists that advocates for social, economic, and racial justice through leadership development, coalition building, and resource and information sharing.

Our affiliates are national, regional, statewide, and local organizations that collaborate on policies, capacity building, training, and education to effect a change in the political and cultural landscape for people living with HIV. Member organizations actively advocate on issues that directly relate to health and resource equality and HIV decriminalization, through social justice projects, ad hoc committees, or dedicated staff. Affiliate organizations are fundamental to the work that we do and consist of corporations, nonprofit entities, foundations, individual activists, support groups, and social networks.

We recognize that individuals infected and affected by HIV have diverse backgrounds and experiences. The HIV Advocacy Network provides resources and coordinates advocacy campaigns and activities aimed at decreasing isolation, eliminating stigma, bridging gaps of unmet needs, and building an army of activists with skills to advocate for themselves.
