Meet the wonderful Empowerment Resource Center (ERC) medical staff that are always there to help.

Dr Paul D. Donnan

Paul D. Donnan, M.D., FACP

Medical Director

20 years of experience in internal medicine. He has an extensive background in clinical research and has provided training and education to students for more than 17 years in several programs across Georgia and Pennsylvania. Dr. Donnan earned his medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco.

In addition to his role at ERC, Dr. Donnan is a practicing physician with Piedmont Hospital Group. He is board certified in internal medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Donnan is also a member of both the Medical Association of Georgia and the Dougherty County Medical Society. Previously, Dr. Donnan served as partner in Albany Internal Medicine in Albany, Georgia and practiced at Clinical Care Associates and Woodland Avenue Health Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was also a member of clinical faculty at the Medical College of Georgia, the University of Pennsylvania Health System as well as the School of Nursing, and the Hahnemann University Physician Assistant Program.

Under Dr. Donnan's leadership, the ERC Comprehensive Intervention Clinic maintains and provides high-quality services for its clients.

Antonina Foster

Antonina G. Foster, NP, MSN, MPH

Nurse Practitioners

Antonina G. Foster, NP, MSN, MPH, has over ten years of experience with women's health and wellness and an extensive background in clinical research. Nurse Foster has practiced in the areas of perinatology, endocrinology, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) management and research. In addition, She is certified by the National Certification Corporation as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.

Ms. Foster earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tuskegee University, a Master in Public Health from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and a Master of Science in Nursing, also from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She is currently in pursuit of a Doctorate of Public Health, with a focus on minority health disparities. In addition to her role at ERC, Ms. Foster works with the Emory University Department of Infectious Disease in the area of HIV/AIDS research.

Ms. Foster is passionate about delivering comprehensive care to under served clients and is excited to be a member of the Empowerment Resource Center team.

Mary Kouba

Mary K. Kouba, BS, BSN, RN, OCN

Registered Nurse

Mary K. Kouba, BS, BSN, RN, OCN, has over six years of experience in sexual health services. Ms. Kouba's previous work experience includes four years of oncology nursing and one year of providing direct client services at a prominent Atlanta AIDS clinic. Mary earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, and a certificate in women's studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As an undergraduate, she served as a facilitator of the "Sex Out Loud" organization, a health education and student advocacy resource for sex education. Currently, Nurse Kouba serves as the Chief Patient Experience Coordinator (Nurse) in the ERC Comprehensive Intervention Clinic.
